Our client is seeking a talented Leasing Manager to join their team. This is a rare opportunity for a real estate professional to work in-house alongside their successful property team and expand his or her experience while working with the company's established commercial portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President of Real Estate and Development and the Senior Manager of Properties and Leasing, the Leasing Manager will:
· secure new tenants and renew existing tenancies for the company's lower mainland mixed-use portfolio;
chair weekly leasing meetings and ensure seamless communication and coordination between Leasing and other internal departments;
actively promote and develop relationships within the brokerage and business community across industrial, office and retail sectors;
prepare detailed and accurate leasing reports;
work collaboratively and support other members of the corporate team in the achievement of their goals; and,
always represent the company's brand in a professional manner. The Candidate:
Applicants for this role must have:
three or more years of direct commercial leasing experience with a brokerage or landlord;
a sound and current working knowledge of the local commercial real estate market;
an established network within the local brokerage community and a proven ability to develop and nurture these relationships;
a thorough understanding of all aspects of formal lease documents;
excellent communication skills and a strong eye for detail; and,
proven success negotiating lease agreements and closing deals. The person selected for this role will be ambitious, confident, self-motivated and "hands-on" in his/her approach to work. The chosen applicant will be someone who is capable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is able to "hit the ground running" with minimal training and supervision. He or she will be an outgoing and social individual who is committed to a career in real estate.
