The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) and Voice Recognition (VR) electronic documentation projects. These two distinct yet linked projects will involve implementation and support across Northern BC. The EDIS will focus on Emergency Departments in acute care facilities, while the VR project will impact many clinical areas in a variety of acute and community locations (including ED The role will be leading the ITS project teams and engaging stakeholders through an agile approach of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing. In collaboration with our vendor partners and projects teams, the incumbent will be responsible for requirements analysis, development and implementation activities, decommissioning legacy ITS systems and the management of project plans, schedules, communications, status reports, and resources (people, budget The position is a health informatics proponent that will steward the benefits of IT system that will enable better coordinated and accessible health services to Northerners.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics or Business Administration or graduation from an accredited Project Management Program.
Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI)
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience with IT project management and/or business analysis including a minimum of two (2) years technical or clinical supervision or management experience.
Successful record of leading and managing a variety of small to large IT projects, preferably CIS or other healthcare projects.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
